On Labor Day, a local farmer was seriously injured while raking hay on a Catawba farm,
when the tractor turned over on him. Jesse Sowers is the son of Kristy & Calvin Sowers -
Kristy is at CVFM each week with produce and baked goods.
Jesse has numerous injuries and his recovery will take quite some time.
A local church is having a Hotdog Social Benefit on September 26, with all proceeds
going to Jesse & his wife, Laura. The flyer gives the details. Please attend if you can -
this is always a fun event and the funds always go to a local person/family.
Good hot dogs, delicious cakes & pies for dessert, live music, old-fashioned cake walks,
lots of pretty &/or useful items in the Chinese Auction...and more.
