Randi Wines lives in the Catawba Valley.
She is the Manager of the Roanoke Co.
Library in Glenvar.
She feels that everyone should have access
to the library’s services and
she enjoys providing that opportunity
to residents of the Catawba Valley.
The library wants to get to know the community better and learn what new services
could be offered.
Each week the library will have new
books and activities available.
Visitors can register for a library card
that will allow them to request and
check out materials as well as
access online resources.

by Jason and Stefanie Sarine in 2016.
Looking for a quieter life and one closer to nature, we made the full time shift to the nursery in 2022. Devoting all of our time to the plants allows us to produce a premium quality that our customers won't find from big box stores.

Ballard Soap Company is a small family business from Salem, VA. We started the business as a hobby and were making party favors for family events such as Gender Reveals and Baby Showers. Since then, we have taken our hobby and turned it into a fun business.
We make beautiful soaps that are not your average bar of soap. Our soap has skin loving ingredients for all skin types.
We also enjoy making candles and wax melts
out of 100 % Beeswax.
You can find all of our bath products and candles the first and third Thursday of each month here at the Catawba Farmers Market.
Craig Co. FFA
The letters “FFA” stand for
Future Farmers of America.
It is an intracurricular student organization for those interested in agriculture and leadership.
FFA prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth and career success
through agricultural education.
It develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools
to achieve real-world success.
Members are future chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, bankers, international business leaders, teachers and premier professionals in many career fields.
Darlene Smithwick
Darlene is the Public Services Coordinator for Roanoke County Public Library and is working on developing an outreach program for the library system. After hearing that residents of the Catawba area desire library services, she thought attending the Catawba Valley Farmers Market might be a good first step. It will allow the library to both share the services that are already offered and to get to know the community in order to learn what services would be of value to them. They plan to bring books and activities for all ages. They can register people for library cards so they can check out materials and be able to use the library's online resources. They will also have a useful gift for anyone who stops by to visit them.
